Clear separation
Advertising and sponsored content must be clearly distinguishable from independent editorial work. Paid material will use a prominent label such as “Advertisement,” “Sponsored,” “Paid Partnership,” or another plain disclosure appropriate to the format.
Editorial control
Advertisers and sponsors may not dictate our independent news coverage, suppress accurate criticism, or receive undisclosed favorable treatment. Sponsored-content briefs may define a commercial topic or deliverable, but CheckMatter India retains the right to require accurate claims, clear disclosure, and suitable presentation.
Claims and reader protection
Advertising must not knowingly contain false, misleading, deceptive, or unsubstantiated claims. Material connections, free products, commissions, or other benefits that may affect credibility must be disclosed. Additional review may apply to finance, health, government-related, education, employment, and other sensitive categories.
Placement and design
Ads must not imitate navigation, official notices, download buttons, government alerts, or independent article elements. Commercial material should not overwhelm the editorial content of a page.
Sponsored corrections
Sponsored content may be corrected, updated, rejected, or removed if it is inaccurate, unsafe, unlawful, materially misleading, or inconsistent with this policy. Payment does not prevent correction.
Enquiries
Advertising and sponsorship enquiries may be sent to meet@checkmatter.in. Acceptance is subject to review and does not create an entitlement to coverage.
Independence statement
CheckMatter India is an independent publication and is not affiliated with or operated by the Government of India.
