Who we are
CheckMatter India operates the website https://checkmatter.in. Privacy questions may be sent to meet@checkmatter.in.
Information we may collect
Depending on how you use the site, we may receive information you provide in emails, comments, forms, newsletter sign-ups, or account fields. Our hosting and security systems may also process technical information such as IP address, browser or device information, requested pages, timestamps, referring pages, and diagnostic logs.
Cookies, analytics, and embedded content
The site may use essential cookies for security, preferences, administration, and login functions. If analytics, advertising, or newsletter tools are enabled, they may use cookies or similar technologies subject to their own policies and available consent controls. Embedded content from another website may behave as though you visited that website directly.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics through Google Site Kit to understand visits and improve the site. Google may process information such as the pages visited, device and browser details, referral information, identifiers and IP addresses, and may use cookies or similar technologies. Read how Google uses information from sites and apps that use its services and Google’s Privacy Policy. You can manage browser cookies and use Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on where supported.
Google AdSense and advertising cookies
CheckMatter India is preparing to use Google AdSense. This disclosure explains advertising processing when Google ads or advertising tags are enabled; it does not mean that the site has been approved or that ads are currently running.
When advertising is enabled, Google and other third-party advertising vendors may store and read cookies or use web beacons, IP addresses and other identifiers to deliver ads, limit repeated ads, measure advertising performance and help prevent fraud. Ads may be selected using prior visits to this website or other websites. Google’s advertising cookies allow Google and its partners to personalize ads using those visits, subject to the available controls and any required consent.
You can manage or opt out of Google’s personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings or My Ad Center. You can also visit the Digital Advertising Alliance’s choices page for participating third-party vendors. Opting out of personalization does not necessarily remove advertising, and non-personalized ads may still use cookies for reporting, frequency capping or fraud prevention. Browser settings can restrict or delete cookies.
For Google’s advertising and data practices, see Google’s advertising technologies information, how Google uses information from partner sites and Google’s Privacy Policy. If additional ad providers are enabled, their identities, policy links and choices will be disclosed through the advertising consent message or an update to this policy.
Where consent is required, the relevant advertising consent controls must be available before advertising processing is enabled. For users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, personalized advertising requires a Google-certified consent management platform integrated with the applicable Transparency and Consent Framework. A newsletter opt-in does not provide consent for advertising cookies. This policy does not itself install a consent mechanism.
Email subscriptions
Our newsletter form is provided by Hostinger Reach. Information you submit, such as your name and email address, is processed to manage the subscription and send the communications you requested. Subscribe only with your consent and use the unsubscribe option in an email to stop future newsletter messages. For the provider’s practices, see Hostinger’s Privacy Policy.
How information is used
We may use information to operate and secure the site, respond to enquiries, moderate comments, deliver requested communications, measure performance, prevent abuse, meet legal obligations, and improve editorial products. We do not sell personal information.
Sharing and service providers
Information may be processed by service providers that support hosting, email, spam prevention, analytics, security, or other site functions. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or safety, or in connection with a legitimate business transfer.
Retention and security
We retain information only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose collected, security, recordkeeping, dispute resolution, or legal obligations. No online system is completely secure, but we use reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate to the site.
Your choices and requests
You may request access, correction, or deletion of personal information you provided, or withdraw consent where applicable, subject to legal and operational limits. Send requests to meet@checkmatter.in. We may need to verify the requester’s identity.
Children
This general-audience publication is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children. A parent or guardian who believes a child supplied personal information may contact us.
External links and policy changes
We are not responsible for the privacy practices of external websites. This policy may be updated when our services or legal obligations change; the revised date will appear at the top.
