Our commitment
CheckMatter India aims to correct material errors promptly and transparently. Accuracy includes facts, names, figures, dates, links, quotations, headlines, images, and the practical guidance an article gives readers.
How to request a correction
Email meet@checkmatter.in with the article URL, the statement you believe is incorrect, supporting evidence or an authoritative source, and your contact details if you would like a response.
How we review requests
We compare the challenged material with primary evidence and other reliable sources. We may contact the requester, article author, or a relevant authority for clarification. A disagreement in interpretation is not automatically a factual error, but we will correct incomplete or misleading context when it materially affects understanding.
How corrections appear
Minor spelling, grammar, or formatting fixes may be made without a note when meaning is unchanged. Material factual corrections will be added to the article with a visible correction note explaining what changed. Significant developments after publication may be identified as updates rather than corrections. Publication and modified dates will be shown where appropriate.
Removal requests
Published material is not normally removed merely because it later becomes inconvenient. We will consider removal or restriction where required by law, necessary for safety or privacy, or justified by exceptional circumstances.
