Purpose
CheckMatter India publishes clear, practical reporting about money and consumer issues, government and public services, and AI and digital tools. We aim to explain what changed, who is affected, when it takes effect, and what readers can do next.
Source standards
For regulatory, government, financial, and product-change coverage, we seek primary sources first: official notifications, circulars, regulator or ministry websites, public records, and official company announcements. Reputable secondary sources may add context but do not replace primary-source verification when a primary record is available.
Accuracy and context
Writers must verify names, dates, figures, eligibility rules, deadlines, quotations, and links before publication. Headlines and summaries must reflect the article and must not exaggerate certainty or urgency. Opinion, analysis, sponsored material, and affiliate content must be clearly distinguished from independent reporting.
Editorial independence
Advertisers, affiliate partners, and commercial relationships do not control our conclusions or routine editorial decisions. Any material relationship relevant to a recommendation must be disclosed clearly.
AI-assisted work
AI tools may assist with research organization, transcription, outlining, or language cleanup. They may not replace source verification, editorial judgment, or human review. We do not publish lightly rewritten or scraped material as original reporting.
Bylines, dates, and corrections
Published articles should identify the responsible author and publication date. Material updates should show an updated date where appropriate. Confirmed errors are handled under our Corrections Policy.
